Entertaining fun in the courtyard garden
of the summer residence in the regency style

Our fine festival comes to a close with the Pleasure Park.
This offers another opportunity to
relax and deepen the acquaintances you've made,
gently reminisce about the ball evening –
and, above all, to enjoy the many little pleasures
of a wonderful park.
This is also the right place for beautiful group photos in a stylish ambiance.

This year, the spacious,
almost heavenly courtyard garden of the Eichstätt Summer Residence invites us
to enjoy an enjoyable and diverse "Pleasure Garden."

The idea of such amusement parks has its roots in late 18th and early 19th-century England: Places like Vauxhall or Ranelagh in London became legendary meeting places during the Regency period. In illuminated avenues, people strolled between bandstands, dance floors, and small spectacles, listened to concerts, enjoyed fireworks, or simply indulged in a stroll – always in that mixture of convivial exchange, leisure, and cheerful distraction that lived up to the name "pleasure garden."

So the paths are open to us too:
The winding paths of the Hofgarten
invite you to a leisurely stroll,
while the lovely meadows tempt
you to a leisurely picnic.
May you fortify yourself from your own basket,
so that you can face your journey home well-prepared.
In keeping with the spirit of the historic "Pleasure Gardens,"
various small pleasures
are also available for your choice.

Seize the opportunity for a romantic stroll
or delight in a Bon Genre,
an open-air pleasure from the year 1800,
prepared especially for this occasion.

So let us stroll through the magnificent realms of the Hofgarten,
relive the joys of the ball,
rejoice or sigh with childlike gaiety –
and indulge in innocent pleasures.

For this purpose, I have prepared some games;
but you are just as cordially invited
to be inspired by the illustrations
and to contribute small games of your own.

The ball and the events will take place if the minimum number of 60 registrations for the ball is reached by December 31, 2025.

Costume required

in costumes of the 1800's.
